Hello Michigan Luthiers!
I've been pondering the thought of hosting a benefit all acoustic concert in Jackson at the Consumers Power Amphitheater next summer.
Id like help in selecting a worthy charity for children. Also any ideas for performers would be great.
Possibly players that use YOUR guitars. I'm going to ask Christene Ledoux who will be playing one of my L1GP's by then.
I'm also thinking it could double as an acoustic guitar show as well, sort of a Midwest Acoustic guitar festival.
Believe me, this is only in the thinking stages, and I could use all the help I could get.
I'm going to post this on the mothership forum too.

Your thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Lance,
Great idea! I've been hosting a lot of "house concerts" ln the last couple of years - so I can think of several performers who might be interested... I'd love to get Freebo there if it's during a time he's on a tour out this way. He played on my acoustic bass guitar and made it sound incredible. Also Small Potatoes out of Chicago are a good bet...a great husband/wife duo - very eclectic acoustic music - he's an excellent guitarist. Maybe Joel Mabus - from here in Portage - well known acoustic player.
I like the idea of tying in a guitar showcase - display. Maybe we can get the Michigan Fingerstyle society involved too?

By the way - I'm still having some trouble getting all these posts to display on my computer... I still get "page not found" a lot.
